Society in Serbia is poorly informed about the problems of persons with disabilities

The Center for Independent Living of Persons with Disabilities in Cacak organized on Wednesday, October 9, at the City Square an action “We Are All Equal - Look at Life from My Perspective".

The action was organized within the project "Young Equal and Active - Building Communities that Respect Diversity" implemented by the Center for Independent Living of Persons with Disabilities, Kragujevac in partnership with local centers for independent living in Cacak and Jagodina. 

According to the organizers, the aim of the action held in Cacak is to improve the capacities of young people with disabilities to actively participate and to be involved in the creation of processes and policies in this field within the local community, aiming at social cohesion and greater social engagement.

According to data of relevant institutions, there are between 8 and 10 percent of people with disabilities in the city of Cacak.
