Center for Monitoring and Activism - CEMA

The Center for Monitoring and Activism - CEMA from Cacak is one of ten civil society organizations from Serbia selected to be trained in the implementation of the Balkan Tender Watch methodology in order to improve public procurement management at the local level. The intention is to integrate organizations from Serbia into the existing network of non-governmental organizations, the media and stakeholders from the region, thus creating the basis for building a larger and significantly stronger anti-corruption community in the Western Balkans.

The first training was held in Belgrade in early October this year, and the next is planned in November in Podgorica, where ideas, experiences and suggestions will be exchanged by civil society organizations from the Western Balkans.

The acquired knowledge of our representatives will be of great importance for the implementation of the project "CITIZENS MONITORING OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT IN ?A?AK", supported by the European Endowment for Democracy in Brussels, which aims to enhance continuous civic oversight with a focus on corrupt practices, in the area of public procurement.
