Public invitation for the membership in the Council of National Qualifications Framework of the Republic of Serbia

The Office for Cooperation with Civil Society of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development publicly invited civil society organizations for the nomination of candidates for membership in the Council for the National Qualifications Framework of the Republic of Serbia (NQFS).

The Law on the National Qualifications Framework in Serbia (Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia No.  27/2018) provides the establishment of the Council for the National Qualifications Framework in Serbia as an advisory body to the Government, which makes recommendations on the planning and development of human resources in line with public policies in the field lifelong learning, employment, career guidance and counseling.

The National Qualifications Framework in Serbia represents an instrument for identification, creation and classification of qualifications in accordance with the learning requirements, in order to improve transparency, accessibility, mobility and quality of qualifications in relation to the labour market and civil society demands. Additionally, the NQFS determines processes and institutions (bodies, organizations) responsible for setting qualifications and Qualification Standards, ways and conditions for acquisition, comparison and recognition of qualifications as well as the other mechanisms for quality assurance.

Different stakeholders are involved in the process of development of the NQFS – business entities and their associations, education and employment institutions, trade unions, state institutions, local government, directors of institutions/organizations, teachers/trainers as well as students/trainees. In the process of identifying needs for qualifications, interested participants carry out direct activities in sector councils.

The aim of this public invitation is to select via public and transparent process 1 (one) representative of civil society organization, whose nomination will be suggested to the Government for the membership in the Council.
