CEMA: New project on solidarity entrepreneurship

In Serbia, social justice has been seriously violated. How equal we are is shown by the devastating data on poverty rates both at the national and local levels. In European countries, social entrepreneurship has become the third pillar of the economy, and in our country it is not even legally regulated. The law has been submitted and withdrawn five times in the National Assembly. In addition, citizens are not sufficiently informed of its benefits. With this project, we want to actively involve citizens from vulnerable groups in the development of the Law on Social Entrepreneurship and to improve public information on this topic. The main channel of communication between citizens and the National Assembly, as a legislative body, will be MPs. The goal is to improve the final version of the Law through the proposed recommendations, when the conditions are met, which will ensure the development of this business concept. We firmly believe that promoting the principles of solidarity economy, which empower vulnerable groups in particular, is a good model for establishing social justice as a key value of any democratic society.
