The legal framework for public consultations in the process of establishing regulations and public policies is set

On 20 June 2018 the Serbian Parliament adopted, at the proposal of the Ministry of State Administration and Local Self-Government, a set of laws aimed at building a more efficient, more professional, modern public administration that requires not only transparency but also accountability for performance towards the public.

Among these adopted laws are the Law on Amendments to the Law on State Administration and the Law on Amendments to the Law on Local Self-Government to complete the legal framework that regulates the field of public consultations when drafting the legislation and setting up the public policy. Lately, the legal framework has been significantly improved by adopting the Law on planning system.
